Santa Claus

This is a super easy to make and very funny Christmas tree ornament. Your kids will enjoy playing with it!

You will need:

• a paper plate (I chose small size)
• googly eyes
• a red colored piece of construction paper (or a piece of white paper painted red)
• scissors
• a red pompom for the nose
• some cotton balls
• a glue gun
• some paint (tempera or acrylic) and brushes

You will start with painting the middle part of a paper plate. That will be your Santa’s face.

When the paint is dry, glue the eyes and the pompon for the nose.

After creating the face, you’ll need to unwrap one of the cotton balls into a (relatively) flat band. Such bands you will use to make Santa’s mustache and beard.

For now, using a glue gun, attach a small piece of the cotton band under the nose.

Now you can see the face of your Santa more clear, so you can decorate it with a hat! Use a square piece of red colored paper to make a hat and decorate it with come cotton, too.

After you are done with the hat, simply attach some cotton band for the beard.

At this point, I trimmed the paper plate around the hat area to make a better shape for Santa’s head.

Voila! Your Santa ornament is ready! Now, easily glue a small hook (I used straighten out green paper clip) and put it on your Christmas tree! Happy Holidays!
