A bird's song
This very easy art project helps you play with different techniques and supplies. It’s so much fun!
You will need:
- a piece of paper. I used this colored cardstock paper, but any paper will do. The only advice - if you have a choice, choose a thicker one
- paint and brushes. I used tempera paint and these brushes, but again, anything you have at home will work, even pencils or markers. You just might need to use different blending techniques then
- a thread. You can use any color or thickness. I used the most basic thread.
- a small piece of fabric to paint through for creating an interesting pattern for the clouds
- school glue
- one googly eye
- black pen to add music
Start with putting a small piece of fabric (or anything you will paint through) on the paper and painting through it. If needed, you can blend the pattern a bit, as I did when I saw that the cloud looks uneven.
Here is my final result with the clouds:
After the clouds are done, draw a bird, color it, and glue a googly eye when the paint is dry.
Now, it’s time to play with a thread! Cut out long pieces of thread and mix them together. Then add some glue to them, making sure all the thread is covered in glue, and then put the thread on your picture where the wing needs to be. You can rearrange the thread until you are satisfied with the shape. Then, let the glue dry.
That was pretty much it! If you’d like, give the bird a longer tail and add some leaves to the tree. Also, you can add music notes to show that the bird is singing.
Enjoy creating! And have lots of fun!
